New donor course on decentralisation and harmonisation

The Hague Academy for Local Governance and Wageningen Centre for Development Innovation have been contracted by InWEnt and the joint donor group on decentralisation to develop a training module on decentralisation and donor harmonisation.

The training, which is to take place in Brussels in October 2010, will focus on the main concepts of decentralisation and local governance, project management and existing aid modalities, instruments and tools of development cooperation. Next to the "basics of decentralisation", this standard module will further familiarise participants with aid modalities and capacity development based on an analysis of the added value of each donor in the spirit of the Accra agenda for action on aid effectiveness.
