The Hague Academy for Local Governance welcomes new employee

From  June 1, 2010 Dyana Kettenis has joined our team in the position of communication officer. She will be responsible for communicating and promoting  our courses to the target groups, donors and other relevant organisations. Furthermore she will help to get our academy and our Talent for Governance programme to be more known in The Netherlands as well as in the rest of the world.

Dyana has studied Economics and Languages in Rotterdam during which she studied in Baltimore, The United States and did and internship in Paris, France.  During many of her travels to countries such as Mexico, Sri Lanka, South Africa, Cuba and Ecuador, she saw many beautiful sights but also encountered various forms of poverty among the population. After working for seven years at the courses and training department with the  Dutch Institute for Standardization, she decided it was time for a change. Not only a different working environment was one of her goals. “I’m glad that I can now join a team that contributes to better living conditions in development countries by helping to enhance the knowledge and skills of people who work for local governments”.
