Deadline Talent for Governance Scholarship programme approaching

The call for Talent for Government scholarships 2010  has resulted in a great number of applications. Talent for Governance’ programme manager Marlies de Jong: “This overwhelming response clearly shows that  young talented civil servants, from all around world,  are devoted to make a difference at the local level.”

Talent for Governance provides scholarships to young and talented civil servants. With these scholarships, selected civil servants follow a training course at The Hague Academy for Local Governance, followed by a short internship at a Dutch municipality. In 2010, scholarships will be available for the training course on local economic development and service delivery & the MDGs.

Young, talented and motivated civil servants, working for local government in a developing country or Eastern European non-EU state can apply until the 5th of March at www.talentforgovernance.com/scholarship. All other civil servants from across the world are invited to join the new online Talent for Governance network, in which they can exchange local governance expertise and experiences with colleagues from other countries. For more information about the Talent for Governance network and applications, please visit the website.
